What an API means for an executive director.

A few days ago I posted about why every platform needs an API.
Here’s what that means for an executive director running awards and grants programs through New Empact Work.
You don’t need to open the platform. You don’t need to learn a new dashboard. You don’t need to ask a program manager to pull a report.
You open Claude. You ask:
- Are we on track for the May deadline?
- Which program is at risk right now?
- How does this year’s submission volume compare to last year?
- What’s the status across all our active programs?
And it answers. From your own data, in plain English.
That’s not a feature New Empact Work is rolling out. That’s what happens when the data is accessible from day one.
Executives running associations and AMCs shouldn’t need IT to tell them how their programs are running. They shouldn’t need to learn new software every time they want a number.
The platforms that understand this will feel invisible in 12 months.
The ones that don’t will feel like work.
